Research Facilities

The Motion Capture Laboratory at UTD will allow for the quantified study of anticipatory models and hypotheses such as non-locality, mirror neurons, attractors, among others.
The front end for MoCap is in the antÉ Graduate Laboratory. In addition to providing data processing and editing capabilities for MoCap, it will allow for software development in the area of anticipatory computing, anticipatory engineering, and anticipation-based design.

Current Research Directions

Foundations of anticipation: cognitive science, brain science, mathematical foundations, information theory, anticipation as a foundation for semiotics.
